Introduction
Integrated sound has come on leaps and bounds since its inception, and the bass-less tinny crackling solutions of the past are long behind us. None the less, if you have a decent pair of speakers, and by decent I mean costing more than £100 ($180), you are going to want to invest in a sound card.
This is where Creative Labs come in. As well as practically inventing high quality PC audio, Creative are the leading innovators when it comes to creating new audio technology for games. Their Audigy range of sound cards provide close to professional quality output for a fraction of the price, and allow awesome connectivity with the higher end models.
But what happens if you do not have the facility to install one of their internal solutions, perhaps you have filled up the meagre allocation of PCI slots your SFF PC, or are using a laptop. Fortunately, Creative now have the perfect solution in the form of their £82 Audigy 2 NX.
